Runjie Wu is deeply troubled by the violence imposed on individuals by the complex and diverse ideologies of modern society. The question of how to coexist with the others as an individual within this contemporary society serves as the motivation behind all of his works. Thus, his works are always driven by personal experiences and perspectives, using imagery to explore and express existentialism.
